Description
This Atlas N scale model is a beautiful replica of the standard caboose designed by the International Car Company of Kenton, Ohio in the 1940s. Although often linked with the New Haven Railroad, this body style was also used by other rail lines and remained in operation well into the diesel era. The picture might show a different road number. It comes ready - to - run and features finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders. The brake line is detailed, and it has a weighted chassis. You'll get either friction - bearing or roller - bearing caboose trucks as appropriate. It's factory - equipped with AccuMate® couplers, has accurate painting and printing, and includes railroad - specific features. There are two body styles: the New Haven style with windows closer to the cupola and the Nickel Plate style with windows further from the cupola.
Using your Atlas N scale caboose is easy. It's ready - to - run right out of the box, so you can quickly add it to your N scale railroad layout. When handling the caboose, be gentle to avoid damaging the finely detailed end rails, smokestack, and ladders. Since it has a weighted chassis, it should stay stable on the tracks. The AccuMate® couplers make it simple to connect to other cars in your train. For maintenance, keep it clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust. Avoid getting water on the caboose as it might damage the paint and printing. Store it in a dry place when not in use to ensure its longevity. If you notice any loose parts, handle them carefully and, if necessary, consult the manufacturer for repair advice.
