Description
This N Scale Atlas 50004910 PS-2750 Hopper represents the Detroit Toledo & Ironton #1729 in black and white. The picture might show a different road number. In the 1950s, Pullman - Standard introduced new standard designs for coal hoppers. The 70 - ton three - bay coal hopper with a 2,750 - cubic - foot capacity was one of them. It had sixteen side posts and was available with or without heap shields. Later, an 80 - ton version with a 2,960 - cubic - foot capacity came out using the same frame length but a taller body. The 2,750 - cf cars were built from 1954 - 1960 and the 2,960 - cf ones from 1964 - 1971. Key features include fifteen panels, die - cast hopper and center sill construction, a late 20th - century prototype, optional heap shields, friction - or roller - bearing trucks, a Pullman - Standard design, and over 16,000 cars were built.

Using this N Scale Atlas hopper is easy. Just place it on your model train track as part of your train setup. When handling it, be gentle to avoid any damage to the delicate parts like the side posts and the hopper. To keep it in good condition, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of glue to fix them, but make sure to use a glue that won't damage the model. Also, when attaching it to other train cars, do it carefully to prevent breakage.
