The Atlas Trainman C&O-Style Steel Center-Cupola Caboose is a ready-to-run model based on the first all-steel cabooses built for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad in 1937 by the Magor Car Corporation. With a similar design, a total of 350 cabooses were built by Magor, St. Louis Car Company, and ACF for the C&O until 1949. Many of these cabooses remained in service until the 1980s due to rebuilding and modernization. Similar designs were used by other railroads too. This caboose model features true scale dimensions with accurate details, a weighted detailed underframe, free-rolling metal wheels, Accumate(R) couplers, clear window inserts, and separately applied side railings. It will look fantastic at the end of your late steam and diesel-era freight trains.

Using this caboose model is easy. Just couple it to the end of your freight train using the Accumate(R) couplers. You can start running it right away as it's ready-to-run. When handling the model, be gentle to avoid damaging the separately applied side railings and clear window inserts. For maintenance, you can use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. If the wheels get dirty, you can carefully clean them with a small brush. Keep the model in a dry place when not in use to prevent any rusting of the metal parts.
