Description
Upgrade your 1960s and later freight car fleet with the Walthers Mainline 40' American Car and Foundry Modernized Welded Boxcar. It has 8' Youngstown Doors. These HO models are typical of thousands of general - service boxcars upgraded for 1960s safety regulations. Key features include a brand - new body style. There's a limited - quantity one - time run of these road numbers, so order now. Prototypes were used in general freight from the late 1960s to the 1980s. They're based on cars rebuilt for new safety standards like no roof running boards, tall ladders and a molded roof - mounted grab iron at the B (brake wheel end) only, and short ladders at the A end. The boxcar also has a detailed 10 - panel body, 8' Youngstown doors, late Stanray 4/4 improved Dreadnaught ends, a Stanray diagonal panel roof, correct 33' turned metal RP - 25 metal wheelsets, and Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers.

Using this Walthers boxcar is easy. Just place it on your HO - scale train track and start including it in your freight train setups. When handling, be gentle to avoid any damage to the detailed parts like the ladders and couplers. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the body of the boxcar. Make sure to keep it away from extreme temperatures and humidity, as these can affect the paint and the metal parts. If you notice any loose parts, you can use a small amount of appropriate glue to fix them. Enjoy adding this great - looking boxcar to your collection!
