Description
An exclusive from Otter Valley! This N Scale Otter Valley 6456 NSC 64-foot, 6400 cubic-feet scrap and trash gondola (CWSX #140087) is a great addition to your model train collection. The picture might show a different road number. The NSC 64Ft Gondola is mainly used in construction and waste disposal industries to haul waste to transfer sites. It's also used for light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials from scrapper/shrearer to end - user. You can see these cars all over North America in unit train or manifest train service. It's a post - 2000 era model. The model features accurate ends and sloting from field measurements, different offset slots for 7 - rung and 8 - rung ladder cars. It's a brand - new design based on industry sources and field measurements. It has the correct size air reservoir and brake levers in the'release' position, metal wheels, coupler cut bars, and correct air hoses. It comes with a Microtrains type Knuckle coupler, separately applied ladders, a fully detailed underbody, a near - scale size draft gear box with specialized cushion detail, and crisp painting and lettering per prototype. The wheels have appropriate Bremco or Timken where needed.
Using this Otter Valley N Scale scrap and trash gondola is easy. Just connect it to your model train set using the Microtrains type Knuckle coupler. You can use it in unit train or manifest train service to represent real - world scenarios. When handling, be careful with the separately applied ladders and other delicate parts to avoid breakage. To maintain it, keep it in a dry place away from direct sunlight. You can gently clean it with a soft brush to remove dust. Check the coupler and wheels regularly to make sure they are in good working condition. If you notice any issues, you may need to replace the parts according to the model's specifications.
