Description
An exclusive from Otter Valley! This N Scale NSC 64-foot gondola model is perfect for train enthusiasts. It's mainly used in construction and waste disposal industries to haul waste to transfer sites, and also for transporting light to medium density steel and other scrapping materials. You can see these cars all over North America in unit or manifest train services, suitable for post-2000 eras. Model features include accurate ends and sloting based on real measurements, different offset slots for 7-rung and 8-rung ladder cars, a newly designed model using industry sources and field data, correct size air reservoir and brake levers in release position, metal wheels, coupler cut bars and proper air hoses, Microtrains type knuckle coupler, separately applied ladders, a fully detailed underbody, a near-scale size draft gear box with specialized cushion detail, and crisp painting and lettering as per the prototype. Wheels come with appropriate Bremco or Timken components. Note: The picture may show a different road number.
Using this Otter Valley gondola model is easy. Just place it on your N scale train track and couple it with other cars in your train set. You can use it to create realistic scenes of waste transportation or steel hauling for your post - 2000 era model train layout. When handling the model, be gentle as the separately applied ladders and other small parts are delicate. To keep it in good condition, regularly clean the metal wheels with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or debris. Also, check the couplers to ensure they are working properly. If the painting or lettering gets dirty, you can use a mild, non - abrasive cleaner and a soft brush to clean it carefully. Store the model in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
