Description
The FVM 10132 Trinity RD-4 Coal Hopper in N Scale by Fox Valley Models features the UP Union Pacific livery with road number #503705. Note that the picture might show a different road number. This 4200 cubic - foot modern aluminum car was built from the mid - 1990s and is still in use today. Railroads and public utilities use it in unit trains to transport coal from fields to power plants or export ports. It comes fully assembled with a detailed plastic body and die - cast weight with interior detail. There are new road numbers, and it's suitable for the era from 2003 to present. The removable coal load, detailed free - rolling trucks, and 36” machined metal wheels enhance its realism. With body - mounted operating knuckle couplers compatible with Micro - Trains®, it operates on Code 55, 70, and 80 rail. The printing and lettering are clear even under magnification, and it's weighted to industry standards. It's safely stored in a clear jewel box packaging, with a minimum radius of 9 ¾” and a recommended radius of 11”.


Using your FVM 10132 Trinity RD - 4 Coal Hopper is easy. Just place it on your Code 55, 70, or 80 rail track and couple it with other compatible cars using the body - mounted operating knuckle couplers. You can add or remove the coal load as you like for different display or play scenarios. When using, make sure the track radius is at least 9 ¾”, but for better operation, a radius of 11” is recommended. As for maintenance, keep it clean. You can gently wipe the plastic body with a soft cloth. Check the wheels regularly to ensure they roll freely. If you notice any loose parts, like the modeler - applied interior braces, secure them carefully. Store it in the provided clear jewel box when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
