Description
The Atlas 50005690 N Scale 50' GA RBL Plug-Door American Refrigerator Transit Boxcar #3579 comes in yellow, Boxcar Red, and black. Note that the picture might show a different road number. This 50-foot General American Corporation RBL, designed in the early 1960s, was a game - changer with its all - welded body and a wide range of load - restraining devices. Ideal for transporting goods sensitive to temperature changes, it was first used for canned goods and newsprint, then became popular for beverages and perishables. It can keep a refrigerated load's temperature stable within a few degrees for several days in transit. Features include being ready to run, made of injection - molded plastic, having fine scale detail, separately applied wire cut levers, etched metal roofwalks, crisp painting/printing, and etched metal crossover platforms.

Using this N scale boxcar is a breeze - it's ready to run right out of the box. Just place it on your model train track and let it roll. When handling the boxcar, be gentle with the separately applied wire cut levers and etched metal parts like the roofwalks and crossover platforms, as they can be delicate. To keep it in top shape, regularly clean the car with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the paint or the plastic body. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent any color fading or warping of the plastic. If you notice any parts coming loose, use a small amount of appropriate glue to reattach them carefully.
