Description
You're viewing an Atlas FMC 5077 DD Boxcar for Union Pacific #38405 in N Scale (Part#150 - 50005262). Note that the picture might show a different road number. This FMC boxcar represents the Plate B IPD (Incentive Per Diem) era. Its design aims to be the most versatile, fitting most common railroad clearances. You can choose cars with or without end - of - car cushioning, and they come in several door setups. Between 1975 and 1979, FMC's Portland, Oregon plant produced over 4,300 of these cars. They were delivered in many colorful shortline paint schemes and also joined the nationwide Railbox car pool. Later, many second - hand cars ended up in Class 1 railroads and large leasing company fleets under additional shortline reporting marks. Key features include single or double sliding doors as appropriate, multiple body styles, body - mounted couplers, a Plate B box car design, and an X - Panel roof.

Using this Atlas FMC 5077 DD Boxcar model is easy. Just place it on your N - scale railroad track and let it roll. When handling, hold it gently to avoid any damage to the body or couplers. For cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe off dust. Don't use any harsh chemicals as they might damage the paint or details. If you need to store it, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the paint from fading. Check the couplers regularly to make sure they are in good working condition. If you notice any loose parts, use a small screwdriver to tighten them carefully.
