Description
The Atlas 150 - 50004736 is a 11,000 - gallon tank car model from Panoma Corporation (Product #2001) in N scale. Please note that the picture might show a different road number. Propane or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) was introduced as a cleaner and more efficient fuel in the 1940s. Transporting LPG needed specially - designed high - pressure tank cars. In 1947, ACF introduced the 11,000 - gallon tank car. Thousands were built until the mid - 1950s. This Atlas model replicates the late steam/early diesel era tank car in two versions: with or without platform rails. Cars with top platform rails were for places without elevated loading/unloading facilities, while those without were for customers with such facilities. It comes with finely molded handrails, tank fittings, safety placards, 50 - ton friction - bearing trucks with AccuMate® couplers, accurate painting, and lettering, and a platform where appropriate.

Using this Atlas tank car model is easy. Just place it on your model railroad track and let it blend into your train setup. When handling, be gentle to avoid damaging the finely molded handrails and other small parts. Keep it away from sharp objects and rough surfaces. For maintenance, use a soft, dry cloth to dust it regularly. If there are any stubborn stains, you can use a mild soap solution and a very soft brush. Make sure to dry it thoroughly after cleaning. Also, store it in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any damage from humidity or extreme temperatures.
