Description
The ATLAS 20004777 is a stunning HO scale model of a 40-foot postwar boxcar representing Gulf Mobile & Ohio, numbered GM&O #21635 with Part # 150-20004777. After World War II, North American railroads built many 40-foot box cars to AAR standards to meet the business boom and replace old equipment. The prototypes had various roof styles, ends, and doors, and our model captures these common details. It features state-of-the-art, highly detailed tooling, with many separately applied elements like ladders and grab irons. There are 4 different end styles, 2 roof options, superior or Youngstown doors, and ladders with seven or eight rungs. The underframe is fully detailed, and it has free-rolling trucks with blackened metal wheelsets. The paint schemes are carefully researched to be prototypical. Also, it comes with AccuMate® couplers licensed from AccuRail, Inc.

Using this ATLAS boxcar model is easy. Just place it on your HO scale railroad track, and it's ready to roll with other cars in your train. When handling the model, be gentle as the separately applied details like ladders and grab irons can be delicate. To keep it looking great, avoid touching the painted surfaces with dirty hands. You can use a soft, dry brush to clean off any dust from time to time. Store the boxcar in a cool, dry place to prevent any damage. If you need to move the train, hold the car by the underframe to avoid knocking off the small details. Enjoy adding this realistic boxcar to your railroad collection!
