Description
This is a HO scale 1402 TCS Train Control LL8-LED Decoder, Part # 745-1402. It has a Direct-Plug (8-Pin NMRA) interface type. Dimensions are 1.989' x 0.694' x 0.134' (50.51mm x 17.64mm x 3.4mm). With 1.0/2.0 Amp continuous/peak, it offers 8 total functions with a 100 mA function rating. There are 6 12V outputs and 2 LED outputs. Designed for LifeLike Proto 2000 HO-Scale models, it has a built - in circuit for forward and reverse LED headlights. External resistors are needed for F1 - F6 LED installations. It features Back EMF Load Compensation for great slow - speed control, Quiet Drive for noise - free motor performance, DC Mode auto - detection, RailCom® for communication with the command station, Variable Momentum for custom curves, LED and Incandescent Bulb Support, Function Remapping, 20 Programmable Lighting Effects, Dimmable Brightness, Decoder Lock, Airwire™ Compatibility, and User - Loadable Speed Tables.

Using this decoder is easy. First, make sure your model is a LifeLike Proto 2000 HO - Scale one. If you're using LED headlights for forward and reverse, the decoder has a built - in circuit for that. But if you want to install LEDs from F1 through F6, you'll need to use external resistors. For incandescent 1.5V bulbs in forward and reverse headlights, use the standard LL8 decoder. When it comes to power, the decoder can automatically detect DC power, and you can set how the lighting effects work in DC mode. To take advantage of features like custom acceleration and deceleration curves, use the Variable Momentum setting. You can also program 20 different lighting effects and set different brightness levels for your lights. When programming, you can use buttons 0 through 12 to control the lighting functions. To prevent accidental programming, activate the Decoder Lock. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you want to expand its features, use the RailCom® function to communicate with the command station. And if you like customizing speed, use the User - Loadable Speed Tables to set your own speed curves and limits.
